Ohio native Krys Miller (aka Nyarlathotep) got her start in music at an early age by learning drums and keyboards from her musical father. After being classically trained in various "organic" instruments all through school she turned her focus to electronic music shortly after discovering the rave scene. Over the years this has taken on many forms and various projects from djing breaks and jungle records for a rave crowd to producing chiptunes and various other styles of electronic music. After moving to Detroit in 2001, she began to pursue her passions more aggressively by getting involved in Dancesafe, organizing many different kinds of events, the bulk of which being charity and cause oriented shows and a short-term stint running an internet radio station. To date, Krys has released four full length albums and a slew of dj mixes including Gravity(2003), EmErgEncE(2005), The Audient Void(2008), Emotion Sickness(2009), and the newest, Visions(2010). As Nyarlathotep, Krys is known for complex live performances in which she experiments with combining different genres and influences as well as methods of sound creation. Over the years she has spent a lot of time working with the breakcore and experimental music scenes in the Midwest and has a soft spot for the new ideas and concepts in music that these scenes represent. Nyarlathotep's new 10 track LP "Visions" was released on February 6th, 2010. Check the upcoming events page for Nyarlathotep show announcements and performance dates.
